SUMMARY:IoT Tech Expo - Europe 2019
DESCRIPTION:On June 19-20\, EdgeX Foundry will be on-site at the 2019 IoT Tech Expo – Europe in Amsterdam. The event will bring together key industries from across the globe for 2 days of top-level content and discussion and will explore the latest innovations in the IoT world and will cover the impact it has on multiple industries. \nLF Edge’s Janko Isidorovic\, Chair of the EdgeX Foundry Applications Working Group and Co-Founder of Mainflux\, will be giving an EdgeX Foundry presentation and will participate in an IoT panel. \nOn June 19\, Janko will participate in a panel titled\, “Connectivity considerations for IoT Solutions\,” at 3:30 – 4:10 pm. Other speakers include thought leaders from Z Wave Alliance\, Solace and LoRa Alliance. The panel will cover: \n\nDiscussions around range vs. data rate vs power consumption for these IoT connectivity technologies \nThe drawbacks for each network\, including security and whether devices can actively initiate communication with the network \nThe role of intelligent-switching capabilities across mobile networks and platforms; is this the future of IoT connectivity?\nHow Mesh networks can be utilized by a range of industries\, not just the Smart Home sector to provide flexible and scalable connectivity without the need for ISP’s for the IoT.\n\nOn June 20\, Janko will present an EdgeX Foundry presentation from 1-1:20 pm. He’ll share how EdgeX Foundry works\, how micro services can help\, challenges (and lessons learned) that a microservices IoT architecture introduces and what must be addressed to include dealing with orchestration/deployment\, security and additional communication latency. \nEdgeX Foundry is a proud media sponsor for IoT Tech Expo – Europe. If you are interested in attending\, use the discount code “EDGEX20” when registering to receive a 20% discount. To learn more about the event\, or to register\, click here.
