Edge Computing Congress

On September 17-19, Edge Computing Congress will be held at the IIec Conference Center in London. Melissa Evers-Hood, LF Edge Governing Board Chair and Senior Director Google OS Division, System Software Product at Intel, will present a session titled “LF Edge: Building an Open Source Framework for the Edge,” from 1:30-1:50 pm on Thursday, September 19. In her talk, attendees will learn:

• To what extent is there an appetite to grow an active and engaged open source community for edge computing?
• How can open source help consolidate some of the more fragmented work to date on the edge?
• Avoiding vendor lock in with the work of LF Edge in establishing an open, interoperable framework for edge computing independent of hardware, silicon, cloud, or operating system
