Noriaki Fukuyasu, the Linux Foundation’s Vice President of Japan Operations, is speaking at this year’s IoT World Conference in Tokyo on September 17-18. Nori will be presenting a session, “LF Edge: An Open Source Project to Accelerate the Edge/IoT Business” on Wednesday, September 18 at 4:05-4:45 pm.
In this session, he will define Edge computing, its killer applications and top vertical markets ready for primetime use of edge. It will also give an overview of LF Edge, an umbrella organization under the Linux Foundation, that aims to create an open interoperable framework for edge computing independent of hardware, silicon, cloud, or operating system. LF Edge brings Enterprise, IOT, Telecom and Cloud Edges together through projects like Akraino Edge Stack, EdgeX Foundry, Project EVE, HomeEdge and the Glossary of Edge Computing.
