InfiniEdge AI Release 4.0 – Distributed AI Agents, Physical AI Communication and AIOps Evaluation on Edge

Author: Simon Zhou, Principal Engineer at Edgenesis Inc.
I’m excited to share that InfiniEdge AI Release 4.0 is now available as of September 17, 2026. This release brings practical advances across distributed agent infrastructure, peer-to-peer communication for physical AI, and systematic AIOps evaluation. It also marks a special milestone: we’re launching this release in collaboration with the MantisGrid AI Hackathon & Summit 2026, connecting our open source development directly with the wider AI community.
What’s New in This Release
Release 4.0 focuses on three core areas:
- SPEAR improvements to architecture, installation, and release documentation — all backed by successful CI validation
- Autonomous Agent Networks documentation covering V2X-based peer communication, built on SAE and IEEE standards
- AIOps evaluation expanded across models, contexts, and agent scopes, giving developers a more systematic way to assess performance on the edge

In Their Words
As our project lead Tina Tsou, Senior VP at Bitdeer, put it:
“InfiniEdge AI Release 4.0 reflects the strength of collaboration across our open source community. By advancing distributed agent infrastructure, physical AI communication, and evidence-based AIOps evaluation, this release gives developers practical foundations to build on.”
What’s Next
Looking ahead, the InfiniEdge AI community will continue integrating these capabilities into the broader SuperAI Blueprint, validating them through real-world deployments and community testing. Upcoming work will focus on simplifying distributed-agent deployment, strengthening interoperability across edge platforms, and growing contributor participation.
If you’re working on distributed Edge AI agents, physical AI, or edge AIOps, we’d love to have you involved. Check out the project repository, join the community discussions, and help shape where InfiniEdge AI goes next.
